Are there any specific type of helmet you have to have for go karting?

    if you mean go-karting most go-karts are so low to the ground, the chance of flipping over are incredibly slim, unless you go off a ramp, or a slope. Other than that there isn’t really a helmet, other than one with a visor to keep dirt and dust from getting into your eyes.

    With childs go-kars, proper petrol ones, yes. They can wear normal cycle helmets, but for larger adults ones, you may want to use full face, ATV, or motorcycle ones.

    All helmets have some form of safety certification, such as B.S, British Standard.
