   This IS a normal speed video (see people walking at the end), and they do really go that fast (I’ve seen what happens when one crashes at speed, not much left but a few buckets of shrapnel)

   I got an invite to go do this a few years back but was busy with academic studies so couldn’t – real shame as it would have been awesome

    I think the footage was sped up. Look at 2:12. You can see that it slows down to normal speed.
