Can you drive a go kart on the streets in Ohio? Do you have to be a certain age?

    No……………

    A go-kart is not “street legal”………to run any motorized vehicle on the street it must at minimum have turn signals, mirrors, break lights, horn, registration and insurance.

    Most states also require emission compliance and head lights and tail lights.

    That is the reason so many 4-wheelers are not street legal.

    You cant drive racing karts on the road but if you mean an off road go kart then the answer is yes but only if you have a valid drivers license and the kart MUST BE ROAD LEGAL and have number plates.
