Is it possible to turn a push-mower engine into a go-kart engine?

no because it’s vertical shaft, you need horizontal shaft

no it wont actually work the shaft is turned down,it would be better to find one with a side ways shaft like of an old garden tiller,those will work fine,not a regular lawn mower engine though,good luck on it.

No, go-kart engines are set up vertically, not horizontal like a push mower.
