How do i make a steering system for the go kart i am building?

i am building a go kart with some friends and we cannot seem to find a way to make a simple steering system…any help?

    i own a repair shop and i,ll tell you the easiest way to do this look at some of the simple ones that the 4 wheelers and ATV,s have on them,some of them are really simple,you can get some good ideas from looking at some of these,good luck hope this helps.

    You have spindles on each side. To connect them, it takes linkage. A steering wheel welded to a shaft, with pillow block bearings to mount it, will get you down to the linkage. A turnbuckle link at each spindle and one at the end of the steering shaft will do what ye need.

    try a garden tractor repair shop, they may even have some used parts to sell and you could get away with some good parts pretty cheap………..

    hey find a old sports car rip out all of its steering guts and cut and weld as need and dont forget the sway bar or you could order it from the meusre ments from jcwhitney
