What is a fast reliable go kart engine for a 125cc shifter kart?

I am hopping to soon buy a go kart chassis and engine to race at my local race track. I am down to Intrepid, Top Kart, Tony Kart, and Arrow. I want to what a good 125cc shifter engine for these brands would be and a price range if possible. Also, I will be racing at Prarie City in CA. If any one has raced there and knows the rules and regulations of 125cc shifter karts I woyuld like to know that to.
